ECLAT is the second limited edition of Alfred GIRAUD, crafted from the same exceptional batch that gave birth to INTRIGUE. Produced in extremely limited quantity, this edition captures the moment when time reveals its true influence, when the spirit evolves and the assemblage reaches a new state of harmony.
The brilliance of ECLAT lies in its velvety texture and its depth of flavor. Notes of matured dried fruits, honey, and delicate spices reflect the progression of a single batch shaped by years of patience and expertise. Each sip conveys a new light, expressing a whisky refined by time and elevated through mastery of ageing.
ECLAT is created from three single malts that were first assembled into two double malts before maturation. These double malts were then married and aged in five different types of casks, each bringing its own nuance and complexity. Large Sauvignon Blanc casks from the Bordeaux region shaped the profile of the first component of the blend. The second, aged in our signature old Cognac casks, continued its journey in a rare barrel with remarkable properties whose origin remains a secret carefully preserved by our Master Blender.

WHISKY MAKER'S NOTES
Color : Deep cooper gold.
Nose : Freshness is quickly complemented by complex notes of candied grapes. The second nose is round, balanced and elegant, with hints of honey on the finish.
Palate : A beautiful attack that quickly turns into greed. A balance between the strength of the alcohol and the sweetness provided by the magical cask.
Finish : The maturity given by time reveals notes of Rancio. It brings complexity and length, evoking a candy, a delicacy.
