Description
Creating INTRIGUE is something of a mystery. An intangible quality that grabs your attention and leaves you wanting more... These little moments of magic inspired our first Limited Edition.
INTRIGUE starts with three distinct single malts that are paired into two double malts before aging. The double malts are married and aged in five different types of casks before bottling. The end result is a harmonious masterpiece with a lively soul and highlights of Sauvignon from Bordeaux, our signature rare cognac casks, and a unique vidange cask that imparts a flavor so intriguing our Master Blender vows to keep it a secret.
Color: Deep radiant gold.
Nose: Round and aromatic leaning towards ripe fruit with a hint of vintage eaux de vie.
Palate: Rich and complex; full-flavored with notes of grass and grapefruit from the Sauvignon Blanc cask. Paired perfectly with the moderate and elegant sweetness of candied fruits that appear on the palate after a few moments.
Finish: Warm and inviting with a long and complex finish balancing high aromatic concentration and strength.

La famille Giraud possède une collection de fûts exceptionnels et une opération forestière dans le Limousin mise au profit de l'élevage de ses whiskies. L'assemblage coule dans les veines de cette famille de fabricants de futs et maître de chais depuis 1873: il est l'héritage, le patrimoine familiale est le plus grand atout d'Alfred GIRAUD, permettant de combiner les meilleurs malts pour donner vie a un whisky supérieur à la somme de ses ingrédients, créant ainsi une véritable expérience à mi-chemin entre artisanat et création.
